NEWLY UPDATED Important Message:

After Karen died in January 1999, I left her web site up, as a sort of legacy to her crochet efforts. Last fall (2005) I asked if anyone was still using the site (especially since it had not be updated since Karen's death), because I wanted to reuse the URL (seafore.com) for my new wife's (Lutheran minister) two churches on Oahu. Hawaii. I was flooded with responses (I still get them today) asking me not to take the site down. I asked if anyone was interested in taking over and hosting the site, and received over 30 responses. From those responses, I narrowed the search down to six whom were each more than qualified to host the site. Finally, in late 2005 I choose a new new host for C is for Crochet. She has worked since then to move and setup the new site at www.calmingseas.com. I will let her introduce herself on the new site.

I am in the process of creating the new web sites for the churches and the they will appear on this URL shortly. However, for at least a year, I will maintain a link at on this site to the new C is for Crochet web site . Thank you for all your support and good wishes during this process. I know that Karen would have been proud. Please feel free to contact me by email at brad@seafore.com.

Thanks. Brad Perkins - March 9, 2006

Some history of this site:

C is for Crochet started out on AOL, the brainchild of Karen Perkins (AKA- Seafore). When the site grew beyond the bounds of AOL's limited space, Karen started moving to a Personalized site http://www.seafore.com.  Much planning and work went into what Karen Dreamed this site could be. This was shortly before her untimely death in January of 1999.  Karen only had a couple months to work on this site, she never got to see her dream completed. Many of the pages remained "Under Construction", other pages had yet to be moved. There was much work needed to make Karen's Dream come true. Karen's Dream did finally all come together into one of the most successful sites for Crochet on the web, getting 1,000 to 1500 hits minimum a day.
